Jennifer,
I think you will have to narrow your field a bit. There is a
growing amount of literature re: Native Americans and other indigenous
groups, but much is aimed particularly at warriors, women, spiritual
rites, religion, survival, etc. Also, the various nations/tribes were/are
not all identical. There is virtually no way to separate philosophy from
other aspects of society since most nations believed in the oneness of all
life and respect for this.
You might want to read the various works of Vine Deloria. His
overview is quite reliable. I particularly recommend his "We Talk, You
