TOUR THE CARLISLE INDIAN
INDUSTRIAL SCHOOL SITE

The Old Neighborhoods League and the Carlisle Preservation
Alliance are sponsoring a walking tour of the old Indian School
grounds at Carlisle Barracks, Carlisle, PA on Sunday afternoon,
April 20th at 2:00 P.M.

Barbara Landis, of the Cumberland County Historical Society, will
present a slide show of the history of the school (1879-1918)
followed by the walking tour of the site. Many of the original buildings
still stand and are in use by the US Army War College.

Free to the public.

Use the main entrance to the Carlisle Barracks on Route 11.
Park in the lots at the library and to the right of Upton Hall.

Carlisle is located about 20 miles west of Harrisburg and is
easily accessed from the PA Turnpike or Rte. 81.
