Kia ora koutou,
He mihi nui, he mihi mahana mai Aotearoa nei.

We are a small rural school situated on the East Cape of Aotearoa/NZ.
The pupils at this school range from 5 to 13 yrs - (an elementary
school to you??). The 24 students study their curriculum in te reo
Maori (the Maori language), either in a total immersion or a bilingual
room.

We wish to make contact with a school with a complimentary kaupapa
(ideal) in order to trade legends, myths, histories, personal stories
and experiences and photos/images.

Through this exchange we hope to
.upskill our students in the use of information technology.
.develop / enhance presentation skills within a variety of media.
.increase awareness of other indigenous cultures, the differences and
similarities within the experiences of individuals, family and tribal
groupings (whanau / hapu / iwi).

If you feel that you could be of help, either to provide some contact
or as a class / school group please e-mail ngawari@xtra.co.nz

Kia ora ano
Naku noa
Papa Hemi
