I would like to do a project about this listserv for a class on Rhetoric
and Composition. The class is about understanding the process of writing,
including 'dialogic communities.' For example, academia is one community,
a legal profession another. I consider this listserv to be a rather
specialized dialogic community within the Internet cyberspace whole. In
my paper, I would like to explore some of the following questions:
1. How has the listserv affected discourse among American Indians and
Academia?
2.Has the listserv 'morphed' since its inception?
3.What other topics (outside of the realm of the original intention of the
listserv) have become a substantial part of the dialogue? And why?
4. How effective is the listserv for the regular subscribers and
contributors?
I would sincerely appreciate your comments! This is a rather informal
project for a class required for the Master's in Education at the
University of Washington. I'm drafting the project at this point, and
have a lot of freedom to tailor the questions, so feel free to make
suggestions. I'll post the paper when I'm done if anyone is interested...
Thanks.....
