I have kept quiet as I have no expertise here, but I do have a copy of
Beginning Cherokee, 1976, U. of Oklahoma Press, by Ruth Bradley Holmes
and Betty Sharp Smith. I would venture to suggest that contacting
Ms Holmes (or someone at OU) might produce more information.

The text includes an address/phone that might possibly be still valid,
Ruth Bradley Holmes, 1431 Valley Rd., Bartlesvill, OK 74003;
(918) 336-8738. She also has tapes, hence the contact information in
the book.

The book uses Okla. reservation Cherokee except where noted.

But I'm sure someone in this list knows more than I do.
