Mobilian was a trade language of what's now the southeastern part of the US.
I don't have my references here but I think there's a bit about it in the
intro to a book on southeastern native languages edited by James Crawford,
also I seem to recall a paper by Mary Haas on Mobilian.

BTW there's a big dictionary project at the University of Victoria on
Chinook Jargon under the leadership of Professor Barbara Harris of UVic.
