meaning of names?

I'm researching an alleged Chickasaw legend that involves two characters
called Kalopin and Biwier, whose names pretty much eliminate them as
Chickasaws. Another is said to be a Choctaw named Copiah, and that does
not seem to wash either. Do these names appear to mean anything in any
language to anyone on the NAT-LANG list? Thanks, John Dyson, Spanish and
