I am a new subscriber. I am a member of the Iowa Tribe of Kansas and
Nebraska. I am trying to see what work has been done on the Ioway-Otoe
(Chiwere) language. I am familiar with the old Skinner, Dorsey, and Whitman
work, as well as the work of Jimm G. Good Tracks (his lexicon). I also
heard that some work was done up at Luther College. Anyway, I am glad to
meet you all and join your list. I am also interested in Macintosh fonts
for Siouan (Chiwere-Winnebago esp.) in True Type. Thanks for your help.

P.S. I am interested in developing a multimedia tutor for Ioway-Oto
eventually. Does anyone have any recommendations on computer
hardware/software best suited for Siouan languages? I only have an old Mac
Classic and will need to upgrade before I can work in earnest and I
appreciate any tips. Thanks again:)
