Haku,
I am Monique Sonoquie, from the Swordfish Clan of the Chumash Nation, in the
occupied territories of Santa Barbara, California. My husband and I are
begining our Master Program in Anthropology at San Francisco State
University. One of our objectives is to create a Chumash literate
community. We have already begun language classes, but are always
looking for more resources. So, I am writing you to inquire about any
information on the Chumash languages, songs, or history, you may have or
be able to direct me to.
We are also working with other Indiginous students on campus and would
like information on the resources you can provide on other languages. My
mailing address is 2131 Fleetwood Drive, San Bruno, Ca. 94066, and my
work number is (415)338-1178.
