I'm currently working on a production of THE KENTUCKY CYCLE, a nine-play
production which recently closed on Broadway. In the first four plays of
the cycle, several characters speak Cherokee, in scenes dated between
1775 and 1819. While we have been able to locate tutorial tapes which
seem to help us somewhat, our actors would tremendously benefit from
hearing the dialogue spoken as it should sound, rather than trying to
piece it together. As we are a university theatre dept., our funds are
minimal, but we do have the technology to record through a phone
conversation.
We will greatly appreciate any assistance, with probably the heaviest
debt of gratitude coming from our actors!
