This archive maintains copies of articles posted to one of the NativeNet. mailing lists.
The purpose of the Web-based archives is to make it possible to browse through articles which have been distributed by means of any of the NativeNet mailing lists and/or to provide what may be for many people a more convenient form of access to the dialogues made possible by the mailing lists.
The "current" archive of any of the lists will be reverse-sorted according to when articles were relayed to subscribers to the list (not according to the date those articles were written or submitted to the list). Older archives will be forward-sorted according to when they were relayed to the lists.
Planned extensions include making these archives searchable via the WAIS lookup and retrieval system. Watch this space for details. Meanwhile, if you want to search the archives based on article content, please use the database search facility provided by the LISTSERV system, which is based on separate archives of these same articles.
At present, some articles in a threaded series may not be linked with their parent articles and previous articles in the series. This problem is presently being investigated. Until it is resolved, you will need to return to the index page for the archive you are examining to go to the next article in the series if you don't find a "Next in thread" tag in a given article. Apologies for the inconvenience.
Presently the only way to post articles to the lists is to send them via e-mail to the appropriate address for a given list. Practically speaking, it is best for anyone wishing to post to a list on a regular basis to join that list, especially so that subject lines of articles which are responses to previous articles will be correct (which is important so that article threading is done correctly in the Web-based archives).
If you experience any problems in using the archives, please send a message to nn-web@gnosys.svle.ma.us", giving as much information as possible about the problem.
