Peshewegunzh remarks about the "blood" on Columbus' statue
are worth giving serious consideration. We agree with him and
feel that perhaps false heroes need to be rexamined and redefined.
and that one way to do this is to publically alter them.

another point on good old killer chris. One might
question why negative publicity and why the media was
unable to see the purpose or intent of the act. also
is publicity the only reason. Are the issues we are
discussing here being reduced to the ethnocentric cocnept
of public relations.

Is the route to action to be only do what those in power
will approve of? So let's rent a room sit at a table and
talk, talk talk. Of course civil disobedience annoys/angers
people it's meant to.

We willing denounce columbus but as canadians this is easy;
we don't celebrate him anyway. but do first nations people
want the ruling class to act for them? isn't that what would
be taking place if a wasp poured blood on chris? perhaps,
a cooperative effort is best?
