My newest boss will be working on a video production for the New
Mexico State University agricultural college. The focus is how Native
American agriculture (both cultigens and technology) has benefitted
the rest of the world.
Oddly enough, they have decided to work through the Columbus landing,
using this and other account to introduce pre-contact agriculture and
show how it was disseminated to the rest of the world.
I need a little help on this one. Is there a way to use this format
constuctively? If so what is it? These people seem to have a
respectable operating budget (as in going to Columbus' landing site to
shoot footage, and consulting with people in Guatemala), and as such
can probably reach a fairly wide audience.
Any suggestions and comments are greatly appreciated, as are sources
on Native American agricultural practices.
