When I first came to this country from Germany in 1978 I met Anna's husband
Nogeeshik Aquash in Michigan. Later, I visited him on several occasions in
Canada. I kept in touch with him initially, but lost contact sometime after
1983. Unfortunately, my english was so poor back then that I didn't understand
the entire story he told me about Anna, he was in the process of writing
a book about her and her involvement - I guess in the AIM -, he had a big
manuscript at that time filled with photos and newspaper clippings etc about
the whole thing. I never realized the implication of this name, until I saw it
mentioned here on NativeNet. Does anybody know of Nogeeshik and if he ever
published his book (again, I guess it was on Wounded Knee)? I would be very
happy if somebody could help me find out.

No luck at this one (Oregon State U), maybe we aren't "major", but any other
suggestions on how to get a copy of Brand's book would be extrememly
appreciated.

Thanks, -Borries
