Last year I heard a talk by Professor John Mohawk, who teaches at SUNY/Buffalo,
and is the former editor of _Akwesasne_Notes_. He spoke of an economic self-
sufficiency program in which log cabins are being built on the land belonging
to his people. They are pre-fabricated, and are easy to set up, and all made
with labour provided by the native people themselves. I can get more infor-
mation from the tape I made of the talk, and might even be able to send copies
of the tape, in exchange for a nominal reproduction and postage fee, if anyone
is interested.
