"The idea of commemorating Christopher Columbus might, at first,
seem repugnant to Native Americans. But after looking over the concept,
this is an opportunity for us to take a negative situation and to change
it into a positive one - to educate the American people on the role of
Native Americans in the development of the world since 1492."

[ Hmmm. I thought the Baltimore American Indian Center had become the
National American Indian Center, with headquarters in Washington, D.C.,
and that the executive director is Lee Ann TallBear. I recently was
in D.C. to install some communications software for NAIC, and hope to
eventually make them part of our network. --Gary ]
