PROJECT INDIGENOUS RESTORATION

Project Indigenous Restoration was one of the largest gatherings
of indigenous elders, chiefs and shamans (spiritual teachers) in
Canadian history, held in Toronto for three days, organized by
the Artists/Environment forum (TAEF). They came to share their
perspective and concern for Mother Earth, and all people. The
project was created to generate support for indigenous people and
the environment. To bring native and non-native people in
solidarity for Our Sacred Mother Earth and justice.

On April 20th, 1991, native and non-native artists performed a
concert in solidarity for Mother Earth and all people.

Graham Greene, Tomson Highway, Gary Farmer, Tom Jackson,
Shingoose, 7th Fire, Daniel Lanois, Murray McLauchlan, Lorraine
Segato, Drew Taylor, Kennetch Charlette, Gloria Eshkibok, Billy
Merasty, Raul Trujillo and many others were there to make Concert
Indigenous Restoration an evening to be remembered for Our Sacred
Mother Earth.
