Information about AUC INTERNATIONAL
Various Indigenous Peoples' Support Groups and anti-nuclear
organisations have been working for years on the subjects of uranium
mining, waste disposal and radioactive contamination of air, water and
the food chain on indigenous peoples' land. The coordination of all
these activities has been attempted several times, but never
succeeded.
At the 7th European Meeting of North American Indian Support
Groups in Stadtroda, Thuringia, a number of participants, tired of
working in this fragmented manner, decided to re-establish their work
on a completely new basis:
The problems that humanity is facing are overwhelming, the work is
depressing, since it has to deal with suffering, disease and even death:
the death of plants, animals and people.
Therefore, it was decided to use the same methods as the uranium
industry: the attention of the media is to be focused on the fact that the
production of nuclear power is simply too expensive, if all the factors
involved, from uranium mining to the disposal of spent reactor
elements, are taken into account.
The uranium industry cooperates on a global level, yet there is no
efficient international network within the anti-uranium movement.
Hence, the intention to draw all the existing forces together by
founding a multinational company.
The executive council of the corporation will be formed by a body of
experts drawn from around the world with extensive experience in all
branches of the uranium industry. The council has a collective
presidency.
The top priority of the newly founded company is: "Leave Uranium in
the Ground - Create Profits for Future Generations". The business
objective therefore is to promote the activities of the anti-uranium
industry, including the provision of financial support. Just like the
uranium industry, the newly founded company is profit-oriented and
therefore issues shares to the nominal value of DM 10,-. The profits
gained are paid out to future generations in the form of clean air,
clean water, non-radioactive food, a sound environment -- briefly, a
world without any radioactive threats.
The name of the new company is ANTI URANIUM COMPANY
International (AUC International). The temporary international seat is
in Zurich, Switzerland.
The office is located with BIG MOUNTAIN AG, Franziskanerstr. 36,
8000 Munich 80, Germany.
