Krista: Most scholars think the earliest human colonists to Australia were
H. sapiens. I know of no evidence pointing to H. erectus. As to Indonesia,
which H. erectus did reach, the most probable explanation is not watercraft
but lowered sealevels--the same situation as generally accepted for the initial
