I guess a major point I see in all this is that racism tends to be common in
all the cultures...I recently read MacCaulay's (sp?) history of England,
which left me with an impression that these guys had been racists for quite
some time. To me, the racism is just one of the primary evils that are
manifest when a dominant group decides to expand by being repressive. "It
could happen to anyone", if you will, and my hypothesis is therefore that it
does happen to everyone to at least a certain extent. It seems the trick
is to have a belief system that cherishes equilibrium and justice instead of
expansionism and "winning", which I perceive is that case, for instance,
with Christianity.
Please respond.
Sincerely, Xeno
