Thanks to Mike for clarifying what I should have known .... I'll blame it on
the pain in my "nasty keyboard syndrome" wrist ...und meine tusche.
While I was hearing Yiddish for years, the phrase " ma ishtana ha laila ...etc
PROBABLY is Hebrew, since "ha laila" definitely is; the confusion is in the
word "hazeh" which sound a lot more Yiddish than Hebrew .... but that is not
an issue with the patient members of NatNet .... just those of somewhta
... make that somewhat.... "confused" heritage.
P.S..... carpul tunnel syndrom CAN BE AVOIDED .... or at least delayed. Just
pretend you are taking a piano lesson when you are sitting at your keyboard
and keep your wrists STRAIGHT. The nasty habit of resting your wrist on the
table with your hand flexed back is what does it -- and this would be less
likely to happen if the "typing desk" were lower. Back in the old days (the
40's and 50's) there was less "chance" of this happening because typing
(& piano) teachers would come around and wack you with a ruler and yell
"straighten that wrist, now!" ... hence no problem. Most keyboarders didn't
have a "disciplined" upbringing, hence sloppy posture habits, followed by
numbness, dumbness, surgery, 6 wks away from "work" (YEAH!!) loss of pay, &
your co-workers saying "nanner nanner". Another way to relieve the problem
is to wear a GOOD brace during the night ... as opposed to the standard
"one size fits none". Good luck you guys! 10 years is enough for me...
