...my primary interest is in cultural and artistic issues. [Corresponding
with museums in the US is trying at best!] I would like to make contact with
anthropologists with a special interest in the Intermontaine/Plateau area as
well as discuss scholarly and pseudo-scholarly works on Native American art
and craft. Not much to ask, eh?!
So any help to make contact with kindred spirits is much appreciated.

[ A couple of ideas come up here - one is that I might be able to establish
some links for Dr Richardson and others interested in these kinds of
issues with people at the National Museum of the American Indian at the
Smithsonian Institution, where I'll be attending the technology consul-
tation next week. The other idea is that we could establish a separate
mailing list for people mainly interested in these kinds of issues. If
you find yourself in this category, please drop me a note. If there's
enough interest, I'll establish such a list.
Please feel free to write directly to Joanna also. I'm sure she will
let me know what sort of response she gets, and she might even want to
help coordinate the new list.
