Is there a museum bulletin board out there? Am interested in
museum anthropology and registration issues. Love to talk to
someone who has dealt with the American Bald and Golden Eagle
Act, the effect of this regulation on the import and export
into the U.S. of Native Indian artifacts with Bald Eagle
feathers attached by museums; and how this regulation effects
Native Indian people involved in contemporary ceremonialism.
We are loaning to the AMNH and have had to substitute
artifacts in order not to run "afoul" of this regulation which
apparently overrides the CITES' regs.
