Just a quick note to follow Pat's explanation. The reason we prefer
the Murdock bibliography is that the HRAF as a whole is not widely available
or up to date. HRAF is a great tool if you are near a library that has it, but
those that don't frequently do have the _Ethnographic Bibliography of North
America_, and it has a very recent edition.
Yes, it would be great if some library or other institution would put
the whole HRAF on the Internet, as so many library catalogs now are, and no,
unfortunately it has not so far been done. Anybody out there know a few scholars
with the time, funding, etc., to do it?
