I'm new to PEACENET, but wanted to inform people there that I have helped
several Native American tribes to start new alternative schools in their
communities. I am the director of the Alternative Education Resource Organi-
zation. We are inyterested in helping Native American groups that want to
start self-run schools. For example, we first helped the Mohawk tribe at
Akwesasne start the Indian Way School, back in 1971. More recently, we have
helped the Kee Way Wins in Ontario start a school on their ancestral land.
