Columbus Day honors an event that was fraught with disrespect, to say
the least, for the indigenous people of this hemisphere. Thus it is
an obligation to protest this celebration, and it would be a sign
of continued lack of self-respect if no-one speaks out and up for

highest degree, to say the least, for the people of this hemisphere.
Thus it is a moral and civic obligation to protest this event. More-
over, if these people were my ancestors, I couldn't help but be moved
to speak-up for them. If you won't, who will? And if you won't stand
up for your dignity and self-respect now in the face of this insult,
where will you stand-up for your dignity and self-respect?
