[ Due to my recent hardware problems, I have had to put off the startup of
the Columbus Quincentenary mailing list as a separate entity. Please
bear with me a bit longer, as these articles continue to be channeled
into the main NativeNet list. If there is anyone out there who wants
to be on the new list who has not yet done so, please let me know now.
When the new list begins operation, only those people on that list will
receive Columbus Quincentenary subject matter articles.

Hi Arlin,
You posted something on October 9 about a PBS special on Columbus
that you said hinted that: "Modern Afro-Americans' forebears VOLUNTARILY
came to nroth america to be "strong farmers, and ranchers, and cowboys, and
workers," and "That the slave trade did all of Africa a FAVOR by introducing
them to corn!"
That sounds pretty incredible. I know it's been a while, but do you
remember anything about the show: it's title? it's date? what exactly it
said about those things? The reason is that I do a media criticism column
for a local alternative paper, and right now I'm surveying Public Television.

That would be an excellent piece to review if you can give me anymore info.
If you can get the info, many thanks. If you can't, thanks anyway.
Chris
