Many lists prefer that one announce that material is available; if you
want it you send for it.
[ I suspect that such a thing is possible with LISTSERV software, which
I'm now using to administer the NATIVE-L list that most of you are now
on (the exception being most Canadian addresses and a few other "special
cases" of people with funny addresses and other anamolies). I'll check
into the possibility of placing things into the archive without broad-
casting them to the list as a whole, and then announcing their avail-
ability. If other LISTSERV list owners (Hi, Marion) out there have any
advise or helpful hints, please let me know. --Gary ]
