"British Isles" How dare you!!! This is a term invented by the government
of imperial England. It is out of date, inaccurate (the British proper only
inhabiting Wales, Cornwall, and Brittany), and VERY offensive to Irish people
(amongst others). If you must, it's "Ireland and Britain".... although there
seems to be a shift in meaning in Britain that excludes Ireland anyway. Check
where your map was printed!
