Does anyone know what's going on in Oka right now, and how it looks
for the months to come at Kanehsatake? I just heard news that had been
passed along several times (ie. not from a very direct source) that the
new mayor in Oka is determined to press plans to expand the golf course;
that there will be a referendum in February with plans to start work in
March; and that the mayor has been quoted in the press as saying that any
"illegal activity" in the Pines will be dealt with by the RCMP and SQ,
"even if the consequences are bloody".

Any news, details on what's up there?
