Some books perhaps you don't know. Some are classics. Mostly in
Spanish. I am going to send you information when I find them in my
disordered personal library at my office and my home...

Yanomami; Warao.

Metraux, Alfred. _Religion y Magias Indigenas de America del Sur_
Madrid: Aguilar sa de ediciones, 1973 translated from the French
original, 1967 (Religion et magies indiennes d'amerique du sud).
265 p., ISBN 84-03-12045-1

A classic. Indian Messiahs, ritual anthropophagy with prisoners,
shamanism, suicide...

I would like somebody to deepen and comment into some subjects,
especially homosexualism (or perhaps transvestism or
transformation) regarding priests both female and male; that is,
in order to be a priest, the araucanos must be "deviated",
"freaks", even "monsters", they must have a very different aspect
and behaviour, women must be "macho", men must be effeminate, etc.
A shaman must be "extra-ordinary".

Another important subject among the matacos, is depression and
suicide. Any comments?

Messiahnism is also important.

I need to understand this for a film project. I really couldn't
find interesting ideas on Mircea Eliade ("Religion studies")

Shall I continue sending information about my neighbouring books?
