A couple of articles have just come in on the subject of the "Spirits
of the Present" radio series (which Christina Gonzales recently reported
is a production of American Public Radio, out of Minneapolis, rather than
National Public Radio from Washington, D.C. (though it may be aired on
some NPR stations, as it is here in Boston).

First, from Emmon Bach:

|
| Correction:
|
| I misremembered! The Sunday pm at 4 broadcast of Spirit of the Present is
| on WFCR (5-College Amherst), not WAMC. I haven't found a schedule for the
| Albany etc. station yet. Sorry!

| Emmon

(In his earlier message, Prof. Bach said that the series would begin airing
in his area (western Massachusetts) on Sunday, 12 January at 4PM.)

and then from Nancy Piatkowski:

| Gary and any one who might have heard the first program--- are they putting
| it out on tape so we can legally obtain copies- I missed Sunday's program
| because of other committments-

Thanks for the reminder, Nancy. I had intended to post the following infor-
mation earlier. It was given at the end of the first program, which aired
here this past Sunday:

"Spirits of the Present" is available on five audio cassettes
through the "Wireless" catalogue. To order your set, or for
ordering information, call 1-800-736-3044. Visa, American
Express, Discover, and MasterCard are accepted.
