I cannot believe the anger and hatred that has spilled out on this list
over a simple request for the name of a craftsperson. As a craftsperson/
artist myself (weaver, spinner, dyer) I love talking about what I do. The
only time I've refused to talk is when the person is looking for free
lessons to learn what I've spent my time and money learning- Most artist
I know are like that, be they Native American, Ukrainian, Polish, Japanese,
or Italian- if the interviewer is genuinely interested in the person and the
craft is this exploitation?
