Native celebrations of birthdays-(Traditional)

I am trying to gather information about how Native North American
cultures celebrate birthdays in ways different from Western 'rules'.

Can anyone direct me to a particular text or resource, or perhaps
reveal personal histories of childhood birthdays.

I am researching how different societies around the world hold birth-
days, particularily for children, as a special time to celebrate.
Any information or anectdotes would be extremely valuable for me.
