This is a question with disturbing ramifications. I fear that the recent
Supreme Court decision in Yakima Nation vs. Yakima County, WA, may
set a precedent that might guide an appeal of the case you speak of, and
find in the final analysis that Indian land can be seized by the
European American government and its nationals.

I hope that Peter d'Errico and others can enlighten us.
