CROSS-COUNTRY BICYCLE TREK EDUCATES ABOUT 500 YEAR
LEGACY!!

This year, Bike-Aid, cross-country cycling trek sponsored by the
Overseas Development Network, will pioneer its theme program with
a look at Native American issues commemorating the 500 Year
Anniversary of Columbus' "arrival."

Bike-Aid pedals to raise funds for community projects and generate
community activism. This is Bike-Aid's 7th summer ride, and will
start on June 13 from Seattle, Portland, San Francisco and Los Angeles
beginning a 10 week trek that concludes in Washington, D.C. on
August 20. Along the way cyclists stop in various communities
throughout the country, meeting community organizers and activists
from a wide range of backgrounds.

Bike-Aid is a project of the Overseas Development Network (ODN), a
student-based network that funds small scale, grassroots initiated
projects in impoverished areas of the world, including the U.S.
