Because I am not quite sure to whom this reply is adressed. I will be
brief. Michel Bidaux just published a critical edition of Cartier, see
Bibliothque du nouveau monde, Presses de l'Universitede Montreal,1986,
500 p. Numerous appendix, notes, biblio...;there is also the Handbook of
North American Indians, Northeast. A few articles on the history of the
period.
