Where do we begin? Perhaps we begin at the end, or the middle or here.
As citizens of the Indigenous Nations we must begin to assert our full
sovereign status. We can not wait for an alien government, judicial
forum, or foreign entity to tell us what we can or can not do, or how far
we might go. There are over four hundred sovereign nations, on this soil
alone. We must begin to interact nation to nation and look to the globe...
If those nations sit and wait for the courts, and the federal congress of
the united states of america for an endorsement it will not happen. The
fact of the matter is the nations ought not wait for such a decision/act;
and if it comes they should reject it; for neither of those entities have
the power to grant and or absolve the nations' sovereign status.
To quibble over which Public Law (638/280/etc...) is the route to go, is
a clear statement that your tax dollars are working for you. The
pusherman and the puppeteer need do nothing more. We need to revitalize our
respective forms of government; we must reinstitute our respective methods of
adjudication, education, spiritualism; we must reaquire our respective native
languagues, customs, norms, mores, etc.. Every law ever passed by these fed-
eral governments to help us was really an act to help themself.
We need to kick the addiction brought on by the pusherman and end the
years of existing in a purple haze, running from ourselves and selling all
that would be held sacred. Only then can we begin to live as nations.
I will offer some specifics in the next posting; they are not meant to be
THE answer but rather an alternative to what is...
