Original-Subject: Re: Imposed Values (was Inuit abortion clinics)

Imposition of values, as Peshewegunzh puts it, is the veil over the headsmans
face; not only to Amerinds by Amereuros, but on us by ourselves, as well.
The urge to regulate and control and define the set of acceptable values
crushes whomever it touches.

Babs Woods:
Don't preach abortion as reasonable here. Take it to talk.abortion or
talk.bizzarre where it will not be sand in the eyes. My wife and I and our
6 children are not poor because we spend all our money on subsistance rather
than on a fancy house or new cars or jordache brandnames... these things are
not the love and nurture that defines whether we are a civilized people. We
feel poor because our (many) children are not allowed to be children... this
mobile home park where we live is inhabited by people more attached to things
and the status of things than they are aware of the good value of people. Our
children are in their way. Our values are judged unacceptable by them. From
this rises the feeling of being poor. The color of my skin came from God, and
He can have it. I do not want to be white like them.

Perspective:
My white forefathers practiced post-natal abortion... they got rid of unwanted
babies after they were born, without reguard to their age or rights. It was
genocidal. My fellow whites this day counsel Amerinds to not bear children and
therby forfit the growth of heart that comes from giving nurture, so that they
can be white like us. If this is progress I want no part of it and want my
government to have no part of it.

Feeling:
My eyes are more on the Lakota people than elsewhere for reasons I cannot
fathom... and their poverty (which we have seen) as measured in the white
mans dollars is not because of too many children, nor because of yeilding to
the dispair of Alcohol... it is because my government aspires to take over
their lives and lands and mold them in our image by force of arms, by force of
unrighteous dominion over their resources which compells them to be poor
(unless they opt to mingle and meld into the white culture which is the white
objective in the first place), and lays the blame on them and their way of
life for their continuing problems. We have killed more amerinds than Hussein
killed Kuwaitis. We annexed their lands and impound their cattle and control
the spending of monies we covenant to them in treaties with the same self-
righteousness of Hussein annexing Kuwait and relagating their native citizens
to a disenfranchised second-class target status.

Summary: (and I am ommitting more than I am including)
Before the white man came and set all things right, (I should say sic, but I
really mean puk) children out of wedlock were (so far as I know) not a
problem... they were children. And the responsibility of the mother. The
responsibility of the men, whether or not they were related to the mother OR
the child or to anybody, was to see to it that nobody went hungry, whether it
be their wife, child, an elderly man (unable to hunt), a single mother, or (as
white men cringe) a bastard child. The Clan of people took care of one
another. What, therefore, is the root of the poverty? Whichever poverty
however you measure it? People appointing themselves worthy to re-write the
priorities and purposes of other peoples lives. Not unwanted children.

Have a nice day.
