I don't know if they are networked, but an experienced source of
information might be the hard-working librarian at Salish Kooetenai
College on the Flathead reservation in Montana. He is a scholarly
historian, and would probably have specific recommendations:

You might also send a letter to all of the twenty-seven or so tribal
college members of the American Indian Higher Education Consortium. I'm
sorry I don't have their address here, but the people at Salish Kootenai
