I can't help but notice that those who look most irresponsibly at the issue
of population control AS A WHOLE are feminists who have been fed the
old pro-choice/birth-control-is-always-good line and seem reluctant to
expand their horizons. I also can't help but noticing (well, guessing)
that they're white.

[ OK - that's it! As per Daniel Medina's recent observation/suggestion
that this discussion has become only marginally related to the original
topic having to do with the context of indigenous peoples, I am asking
for a moratorium on this subject for a while. Once we start using
labels like "irresponsible" and bringing in racial stereotypes, we're
no longer communicating on a level of discourse that can or will produce
much in the way of the kind of learning together and growing together
that I feel the majority of us want. I take full responsibility for the
decision I've made to ask that further articles on this topic be held,
for the time being at least.
