Hi Bo. Bob Dahlberg said that you could pass some information along
aisesnet for me. I am the PATHWAYS Placement Coordinator at AISES and
have come across a really great summer internship that I would like for as
many people as possible to know about. I will just copy the letter that I
received about it.

The Alcohol Research Center, in conjunction with the Center for Multicultural
Enrichment and the National Center for American Indian and Alask Native Mental
Health Center at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, is
sponsoring summer research projects for five American Indian college students.
Students accepted into the program will be provided with a stipend of $2,500
for 8 weeks of research. The program starts on June 14, 1992 and ends on
August 14, 1992. Travel reimbursement up to $300 will be provided upon
completion of the program. Assistance will be provided in securing housing.

The summer program consists of a research project in one of the several
laboratories of the Alcohol Research Center and the National Center for
American Indian and Alaska Native Mental Health Research Center, seminars
and weekly meetings with other summer trainees. Training at the Alcohol
Research Center for Aging at the University of Michigan may also be arranged.

Applicants should be sophomores, juniors or seniors in college and have a
cumulative GPA of 3.0 in science courses. Student with less than 3.0 GPA
will be considered on an individual basis. Courses in Chemistry and Biology
are highly desirable. The deadline date for applications has already passed,
but there are still 4 positions open. Three letters of recommendation from
faculty members or employers and current transcripts should be sent to:
