Yes, Indeed, the Native American Rights Fund is one of the most highly
respected and effective organizations we have in Indian Country. It
is a group of Indian Lawyers who have successfully defended the
Passamaquoddy case, Indian civil rightds cases, Indian Religious
Freedom Act, countless land issues before the Supreme Court. They are
very important to us all because they are often the only legal firm a
tribe can hire to defend them no matter how long it takes and if there
is very little if any funds available.
