The following is a response to a request for information on Pow-wows:

One way of finding out about times and places of the various Pow-wows is to
contact the various "Friendship Centres" across Canada.

In the summer of 1985 I worked as youth group worker at the Brandon Indian
and Metis Friendship Centre in Brandon, Manitoba. We were aware of all the
various Pow-wows in the region. If the phone number hasn't changed, it is
(204) 727-1407. The address is 836 Lorne Ave, R7A 0T8.

[ I recall having a list of these "friendship centres" at one time. I'll
make it available on the NATIVE-L listserv at TAMVM1 if I come across it,
and will post a notice to say I've done so and how it can be obtained.
