On June 26 1992 the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission granted a
Certificate of Need to Northern States Power Company for a Nuclear Waste Dump
at Prairie Island next to the Mdewakanton Sioux Community.

this decision by Mordecai Specktor that appeared in the June 1992 issue of
