Hopi elders at the United Nations

I was recently given an article written by Steven McFadden that discusses the
difficulties that Hopi Elders are having in their attempts to address the
United Nations in New York. According to the article, the Hopi were given
instructions by way of their prophecy rocks to attempt to address world
leaders in a "house of Mica" (believed to be the glass UN building) that
would one day stand on the Eastern shore of this land. The Hopi have been
thwarted in their attempts to address the General Assembly.

Does anyone know of the current status of these attempts? I for one would be
grateful for the sharing of this spiritual knowledge, and am unsure of the
(probably political?) reasons that the attempts of the elders to speak have
been blocked. According to the article, the US government in particular has
vigorously opposed these attempts.

Any information on the background and history of this situation will be of
interest. I am writing to the Secretary General to support the HOpi leaders
in their efforts. His address:
Honorable Boutros-Ghali, Sec'y General of the UN
UN Plaza, New York, NY 10017
