For those seeking information on Chief Joseph, I just returned from a 5000 mile
trek across Washington, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, and points south of there,
and the amazing thing to me was that I saw MORE literature about Chief
Joseph at Visitor Centers and Museums in Montana and Wyoming that I ever
saw in Idaho, etc. Some of the most extensive references I saw were at the
Colter Bay Visitors Center, Grand Teton Nat'l Park; and the "Museum of the
Rockies", Montana State Univ., Bozeman, Montana. I would recommend writing
to both of them for a book list.

I also have a tape of an "elder" of the Nez Perce nation telling stories about
places he camped and things he did, which I would be willing to copy for
educational purposes (don't want to violate copyright laws) for anyone who
wants to send me a blank and postage (unless I hear from 100 of you).
