For those who are interested in this topic, please note that the paper,
"Researching Indigenous Peoples' Rights in International Law",
does not specifically cover Native Americans. I will be doing a revision
for later publication which will include Native Americans. I would
appreciate any corrections and additions. There are many indigenous
groups which could be addeded. I am also interested in national laws
which acknowledge the rights of indigenous peoples within settler
states. Bibliographical references to legal treatises, articles and
statutes are welcome.

This is a review article done for a 20 minute presentation and it does
not pretend to be an indepth study of the issues. It is a guide to the
international law sources.

[ I wasn't aware until processing this article that Steven is a member
of the NativeNet list. Perhaps he would be willing to answer questions
anyone might have about the paper, available through the means mentioned
in the article I posted yesterday. --Gary ]
