It means that Jack Frisch was apparently attempting to turn off mail
to his address from the NATIVE-L mailing list temporarily. The correct
procedure is to send the message:

set NATIVE-L nomail

to the address listserv@TAMVM1.tamu.edu or listserv@TAMVM1.bitnet

To restore mail service, send the message:

set NATIVE-L mail

Gary

P.S. I used caps (NATIVE-L, TAMVM1) only to indicate the "one" and
"ell" differences, since they're easily confused with one another.
You need not actually use capital letters where indicated.

P.P.S. Yes, folks - I made it back from the "State of Indian America"
conference at Cornell University, but I won't be of much use to the
NativeNet community until to mid- to late-week, since there's a lot
going on and I'll be very busy. It was a very good conference, and
I'll tell you all more about it when I get a chance.
