I'm a Costa Rican Bri-bri a litte northern of the guaymis, i will try
to find out, something with my family down there, as far is I know, most of
the problems are cause because are culture was robe many years ago, now they
use the excuse that we do not speack our lenguage, and do not have our Religion
or as they say we are not really Indians (no mentioned that in Spanish domina-
ted lands if you are not catholic you are Death) i know that Indians, in Costa
Rica do not face the same is other nation, wich make them be together, we have
pretty much like any other person, but nothing special to protect our Tradition
So you go to School learn that Colombus was a Hero, go to High School with all
the rest and they talk about the Insdians like they are all dead, so you afraid
to stand up and be count, then you go to College, were they start talking about
how importat is for your people to get together , but they say,But at this
point they act like if you have lost everything is in you Indian Blood. so in
the years past by, Indians have become more active, they demand control of
their lands, and also they own the Art Craft Market, they also have elected
every member of their municipal goberment.
Guaynis are more in Pananma then in Costa Rica, But I will try to find
out Something, Thank for your concern, I can sure you We Are NOT Death.
